Windows installer names contain the platform and version. For example,Wireshark-win64-3.3.0.exe installs Wireshark 3.3.0for 64-bit Windows. The Wireshark installer includes Npcap which is requiredfor packet capture.
Nov 21, 2016 Step 7 – Stop the TightVNC Service. A simple Command step can be used. Just run the following command: net stop tvnserver. Don’t forget to set the Success Codes to 0,2. Step 8 – Install DFMirage Driver (OPTIONAL) – If you want to deploy the mirage driver to your computers then this would be a good time to do it. Create an Install Step. I'm attempting to install TightVNC with some custom settings. VALUEOFREMOVEWALLPAPER=0 /quiet /norestart /l. log.txt. However, when I install the msi with the above command, transform added, I get an error in the.

Simply download the Wireshark installer from https://www.wireshark.org/download.htmland execute it. Official packages are signed by the WiresharkFoundation. You can choose to install several optional components andselect the location of the installed package. The default settings arerecommended for most users.
On the Choose Components page of the installer you can select from the following:

By default Wireshark installs into
%ProgramFiles%Wireshark
on 32-bit Windowsand %ProgramFiles64%Wireshark
on 64-bit Windows. This expands to C:ProgramFilesWireshark
on most systems. The Wireshark installer contains the latest Npcap installer.
If you don’t have Npcap installed you won’t be able to capture live networktraffic but you will still be able to open saved capture files. By default thelatest version of Npcap will be installed. If you don’t wish to do this or ifyou wish to reinstall Npcap you can check the Install Npcap box as needed.
For more information about Npcap see https://nmap.org/npcap/ andhttps://wiki.wireshark.org/Npcap.
For special cases, there are some command line parameters available:
/S
runs the installer or uninstaller silently with default values. Thesilent installer will not install Npcap./desktopicon
installation of the desktop icon,=yes
- force installation,=no
- don’t install, otherwise use default settings. This option can beuseful for a silent installer./quicklaunchicon
installation of the quick launch icon,=yes
- forceinstallation,=no
- don’t install, otherwise use default settings./D
sets the default installation directory ($INSTDIR), overriding InstallDirand InstallDirRegKey. It must be the last parameter used in the command lineand must not contain any quotes even if the path contains spaces./NCRC
disables the CRC check. We recommend against using this flag.
Example:
Running the installer without any parameters shows the normal interactive installer.
As mentioned above, the Wireshark installer also installs Npcap. If you prefer to install Npcap manually or want to use a different version than theone included in the Wireshark installer, you can download Npcap fromthe main Npcap site at https://nmap.org/npcap/.
The offical Wireshark Windows package will check for new versions and notifyyou when they are available. If you have the Check for updates preferencedisabled or if you run Wireshark in an isolated environment you should subcribeto the wireshark-announce mailing list to be notified of new versions.See Section 1.6.5, “Mailing Lists” for details on subscribing to this list.
New versions of Wireshark are usually released every four to six weeks. UpdatingWireshark is done the same way as installing it. Simply download and start theinstaller exe. A reboot is usually not required and all your personal settingsremain unchanged.
Wireshark updates may also include a new version of Npcap.Manual Npcap updates instructions can be found on the Npcap website at https://nmap.org/npcap/. You may have to reboot your machine after installinga new Npcap version.
You can uninstall Wireshark using the Programs and Features control panel.Select the “Wireshark” entry to start the uninstallation procedure.
The Wireshark uninstaller provides several options for removal. The default isto remove the core components but keep your personal settings and Npcap.Npcap is kept in case other programs need it.
You can uninstall Npcap independently of Wireshark using the Npcap entryin the Programs and Features control panel. Remember that if you uninstallNpcap you won’t be able to capture anything with Wireshark.
When running a silent installation, QlikView is installed with a limited set of or no dialogs at all. This means all features, properties, and user selections have to be known when creating the silent installation package. There are also some standard properties in Windows Installer Service that may be required.
To prepare a silent installation, the MSI file has to be extracted from the QlikView Setup.exe file.
A silent installation can be run with different interface levels:
Add a + sign at end of the interface levels command to get a modal dialog at the end of the installation saying “Finished” and if it was successful or not.
The following silent installation command lines are recommended for QlikView:
msiexec /i QlikViewServerx64.msi Addlocal='all' IS_NET_API_LOGON_USERNAME='Domainusername' IS_NET_API_LOGON_PASSWORD='password' /qn+
Alternatively:
QlikViewServer_x64Setup.exe /s /v'/qn+ Addlocal='all' IS_NET_API_LOGON_USERNAME='Domainusername' IS_NET_API_LOGON_PASSWORD='password'
The command line above installs all features completely silently with a modal dialog at the end of the installation.
If just a limited set of the features are to be installed, change all to the name of the feature instead. If several features are to be installed, separate them with commas.
The following features can be installed:
- DirectoryServiceConnector
- ManagementService
- QVS
- QvsDocs
- WebServer
- DistributionService
- SupportTools
- QvsClients with the sub-features Plugin and AjaxZfc
- MsIIS with the sub-features QvTunnel and QlikView Settings Service
Note: For the sub-features to be included in the installation, they have to be included in the list of features to be installed.
msiexec /i QlikViewServerx64.msi ADDLOCAL='all' DEFAULTWEBSITE='2' /qn+
This command line installs all features, including the virtual directories to another website than the default one. This requires a machine with Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) installed and more than one website on it. The site number also has to be known. Set DEFAULTWEBSITE to the site number where the virtual directories are to be installed. To find the number of the website, check IIS.
The installation procedure can be logged, using the following command:
msiexec /i QlikViewServerx64.msi ADDLOCAL='all' DEFAULTWEBSITE='2'/L*v log.txt /qn+
Settings
The following settings are good to know when designing a silent installation package:

IIS | Four virtual directories and an Application pool are installed |
Services | Five services are installed |
Dialogs
The QlikView installation has a number of dialogs, one of which is a Custom Setup dialog and one of which is a Website dialog. All dialogs set important properties. To find the value of a property, do a test installation with verbose logging. Note that the property values may differ depending on the language and operating system used.

To use IIS instead, select Full Installation, Single machine with IIS (this option is only available if IIS is installed on the target machine).
To perform a custom installation, select Custom installation, select profiles and then select the profiles to install. The Webserver profile allows the user to choose between QlikView Web Server and IIS (if IIS is installed on the target machine).

MST
When creating an MST file, the MSI file is customized without any changes being made directly in the MSI. The MST file works as a filter on top of the MSI and allows changes to be made to the installation. For example, the default installation folder for QlikView Server is %ProgramFiles%QlikView, but if that is changed to C:QlikView in the MST file, the default folder is changed. The same thing can be done with the dialogs, which means properties can be preset, so that the installation can be run with a limited set of dialogs.
To create an MST file, an MSI repackaging studio (for example, InstallShield AdminStudio) is needed.
Note: Qlik does not supply any MST files and does not take any responsibility for MST files created by customers or partners.
